Macmillan Cancer Care Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning

Two south Monmouthshire residents are hosting a World's Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan on Friday 25 September and she would like other local people to help them do it!

Pam Hobson and Maureen Pearce from Chepstow and Portskewett will be hosting their own World's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday 26th September they are inviting everyone along to join them for some cake and a cuppa to help raise £8million for Macmillan.

Pam and Maureen are aiming to repeat their successful coffee morning last year where local residents supported the cause raising over £400: "Everyone is welcome and more them merrier", said Pam Hobson.

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Chepstow will be attending to help raise the profile of the charity, Cllrs. Henry Ashby and Jane Robbins respectively as well as local Assembly member Michael German OBE. Mr. German said that he had many stories from constituents of their invaluable work of the Macmillan nurses, "supporting the World's Biggest Coffee Morning ensured the future of the wide range of support services the charity provides to families living with cancer.

Macmillan's Chief Executive, Ciaran Devane, added: "Every penny raised at a coffee morning will help fund more services for people affected by cancer. Your involvement - no matter how small - means there will be enough practical, medical, financial and emotional support to help to change the lives of everyone affected by cancer for the better. And for that, we think you should feel good!"

The Macmillan Cancer Support events starts at 10am on Saturday at the home of Pam Hobson at 7 St. Andrew's Avenue, Chepstow NP16 5LD.
